Halladay Education Group is pleased to announce the successful acquisition of Omnicom School of Languages by Cambridge Education Group (CEG). HEG was retained by Omnicom's ownership to provide M&A advisory services regarding the the sale of their school group .
CEG reached agreement with Omnicom School of Languages to acquire their schools in Toronto and Calgary and will be brought into CEG's English Language School division, Stafford House International. The acquisition marks the group's first entry into the Canadian market and takes the total number of schools in their group to 10, with 4 in the UK and 4 in the US after the acquisition of Intrax Language programs in 2015.
Omnicom was established in 1974 and offers wide range of accredited English programs in both Toronto and Calgary. Ivan Markiet, founder and former owner of Omnicom School of Languages shared, "After 42 years in the business I wanted to find the right people to take on my schools. We are dedicated to great customer service and personal attention, and we believe Stafford House has the same commitment to its students. I wish them every success."
Stephan Roussounis, Managing Director of Stafford House, commented, "we are delighted to welcome one of Canada's longest established schools into our network. Our partners kept telling us Canada was an important market to them, and we see many opportunities here to develop the schools."
Stafford House plans to integrate the Canadian business into its portfolio by 2017. In the interim, all business and operations remain as usual and the focus is on continuing to provide excellent student experiences and partner service.
